Division Report on Rate RSE and Rate ECR for Alabama Power Company as of April 30, 2025.
The Electricity Policy Division performed the regular monthly examination of the books and records of Alabama Power Company and determined the Weighted Return on Average Retail Common Equity was 6.27% for the 12 months ending December 31, 2025.
The Staff’s normal monthly review of the Over and Under Recovery for Alabama Power’s energy costs determined an under-recovery of $23,620,127 for the month.

On April 30, 2025, Alabama Power Company (the “Company”) filed its Jurisdictional Separation Study (“JSS”) for the twelve months ending December 31, 2024. The Company’s filing proposes to use a revised study for rate year 2026 calculations. This revised study would reflect that system capacity previously separated to electric service other than retail will be utilized for retail electric service beginning January 1, 2026.
